1. Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars

  • History: Originally released in 1917 as the Converse All-Star, the sneaker was later endorsed by basketball player Chuck Taylor, who suggested design improvements. They quickly became popular in the basketball world.

  • Fun Trivia: Chuck Taylor’s signature is still featured on the ankle patch of every pair of Chucks.



2. Adidas Superstar



  • History: Released in 1969, the Adidas Superstar was initially a basketball shoe. It was the first low-top basketball shoe to feature an all-leather upper and the now-famous rubber shell toe.

  • Fun Trivia: The Superstar was popularized in the 1980s by hip-hop group Run-D.M.C., who even wrote a song titled “My Adidas.”
